Tuesday, November 1, 2016
Colorful Sugar Skulls are a recognizable icon of Mexican culture and Dia De Muertos celebrations. They’re often used to decorate graves during the November 1 festivities.
On Tuesday, November 1, 2016 local men’s hair salon Keep It Cut will celebrate Dia De Muertos with an offering of free haircuts. Guys just need to bring in a sugar skull to the salon for the deal – think a statue, shirt, or tattoo!
Dia De Muertos is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and some bordering states – including Arizona. Traditionally it focuses on the gathering of family and friends to celebrate the lives of family members who have passed by holding festivals and parades and decorating graves and altars with offerings, or ofrendas, like food, flowers and trinkets.
Keep It Cut salons offer unlimited professional cuts, styles and grooming for one monthly membership fee. Keep It Cut has salons in Phoenix-Arcadia, Ahwatukee, and Tempe. Visit keepitcut.com for hours and location information.
